Yes, you do get a tiny bit of natural light, but the thickness of the walls means that the amount is limited, as is the view. Porthole cabins are available on almost all Carnival ships – the exceptions are Spirit Class ships (Carnival Spirit, Carnival Miracle, Carnival Legend and Carnival Pride) and the newer Excel Class.
